Greener Arena Improvers Certificate for Uber Eats Music Hall
Uber Eats Music Hall has achieved the Greener Arena Improvers Certification 2024
The certification was achieved following a rigorous assessment process by not-for-profit sustainability specialists A Greener Future (AGF). The assessment involves detailed analysis of areas of sustainability such as transport, energy and power, waste, water usage, local environment, CO2 and food and beverages and involves an on site visit by qualified AGF assessors.
Improvers signify great strides on the green arena journey, with positive actions and improvements that show Uber Eats Music Hal exhibits a significant engagement with the process of reducing negative environmental and social impacts, and enhancing positive impacts.
‘The Uber Eats Music Hall is committed to sustainability, integrating eco-friendly practices into its operations. The venue is powered by hydroelectric energy certified with the RenewablePlus eco-label and exclusively uses energy-efficient LED lighting throughout.
By sourcing local and seasonal ingredients, the Uber Eats Music Hall reduces CO2 emissions while aligning its food offerings with environmentally conscious values. Waste management is a priority at the venue and single-use plastics have been eliminated, with all drinks at the Music Hall served in recycled Ökocups, which are cleaned in an in-house dishwashing facility after use, and food served in recycled cardboard trays and sugarcane-fiber bowls.
Water conservation efforts are central to the operations at the Music Hall.
To further minimise environmental impact, the Music Hall promotes public transport, cycling, and carpooling among its guests.
For over a decade, through the Anschutz hilft e.V. initiative, the venue has also supported local charitable projects, strengthening ties with the surrounding community.
The Uber Eats Music Hall is also fully accessible and inclusive’-AGF.
Founders of the world's first sustainability standard for festivals and events in 2007, the AGF Framework has been used to guide, assess and certify hundreds of events, festivals and venues worldwide; providing independent audit and external verification.“
